Farm Fresh Food is BACK this Fall! (Say it four times fast?)
Local farm fresh items will be featured in ALL Ann
Arbor Public Schools this fall for elementary, middle, and high school
students!
There will be a farm fresh feature every Wednesday and
Friday this fall and students in the cafeteria should be on the
look-out for the Farm Fresh Feature flyers that will be posted with
pictures of the day's special item and the farmers that grew them.
Whenever the items are served cold, fresh fruits and veggies will be
available for FREE for any student to sample in the elementary and
middle school cafeterias. This Farm-to-School lunch initiative is made
possible by the Ann Arbor Farm-to-School Collaboration, which began in
2006/2007 schoolyear in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. The Agrarian Adventure is the lead
non-profit in this unique collaboration, working alongside AAPS,
Chartwells Food Service, UM's Project Healthy Schools, FSEP, the Ann
Arbor Farmers' Market, and Washtenaw County Public Health.
Visit our events calendar to see what exciting local item will be available each Wednesday & Friday!
