Event Information:
5:30 - 6:15 pm: School Greenhouse Tour
Led by passive solar ‘hoop-house’ production expert of MSU Student Organic Farm, Jeremy Moghtader
6:00 pm: Dinner Seating and Mingling
6:30pm: Local, Fresh, Delicious Dinner featuring School-Grown Organic Vegetables, Served “Family-Style”

The dinner will be featuring a portion of the fall foods grown and prepared at school by Tappan students and teachers! Food will be served "family-style" in a decorated cafeteria on "real" dishes. Students in the after-school enrichment program of The Agrarian Adventure at Tappan, the Food and Garden Club are youth hosts for this event. Student volunteers from the Food and Garden Club have been developing skills in the after-school program including food preparation, gardening, knife and food safety, team-building, and cooking which they will have a chance to share with the community for this event!

The school garden and greenhouse is made possible through an intensive partnership between The Agrarian Adventure and Tappan Middle School and is a shared, educational resource that has school-wide and community engagement on a curricular level for students in grades 6-8.

*Ticket prices reflect the value of the three-course meal with drink and dessert.
Donations above the standard ticket price are encouraged to support educational
programming and are tax deductible.
